Rescue beagles: Orlando, Sanford, Clermont beagles in need

A sad update for my last dog rescue post. Last week I talked about a nine-month-old beagle puppy at Orange County Animal Services. Unfortunately, that puppy had to be put down because it contracted Parvo. Sad to hear, and unfortunately that is something that all shelters struggle with.

But, there are plenty of beagles who need homes, including this handsome boy who is still without a home. I'm beginning to be a champion for his cause. Here's Tuson again.
This poor boy is still in Seminole County Animal Services in Sanford. He's 7 years old, weighs 38 pounds, and is already neutered. He's ready to go home. He looks like a beautiful boy. I hope someone saves him soon. To find out how to adopt him, contact Seminole Animal Services at 407-665-5201.

Tyler has been adopted, but Benja and Max are still at SPCA of Central Florida. Both are in Sanford.

Benja is a female, nine month old beagle mix who has been at the Seminole shelter since July 14. She went to the shelter because her previous family didn't have time for her.

Max is seven year old beagle mix who has been at the Seminole shelter since July 10. He went to the shelter because he is not house trained.

Information on all three of these dogs can be found at the SPCA of Central Florida website.

Then, in Orange County we still have this poor one-year-old boy, who has tested for heartworm positive. He's listed by Animal ID: A239901, but he now goes by Freckle.

Someone did put in an application for him, but then had to turn him down because of the expense of treating a heartworm positive dog. No just because a dog is heartworm positive does not mean he is too far gone. If they catch it early enough he can be saved. But treatments can be quite expensive.

There's another new beagle boy listed with Orange County Animal Services. No word on how old he is. Right now he is listed as A241967.

To find out more about both dogs, contact Orange County Animal Services.

Then, in Clermont, there are two beagles with the South Lake Animal League.

One is Daisy, a beagle baby. The other is Petey, a two-year-old beagle boy.  Both are available by calling the South Lake Animal League at 352-429-6334.
