Save the Date! A doggy event for charity in Orlando next month

I am very excited to announce this!

Lifewithbeagle.com and Central Florida Top 5 present Doggy Day Out Orlando! Here's the flyer:

It's Sunday, Oct. 21 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Barber Park dog park in Orlando. Barber Park is down by the airport, on Gatlin Avenue between South Semoran Blvd. and Curry Ford Road.

Meet up, Tweet up, Facebook... er, up. You do some networking, the doggies do some networking too at the off-leash park. The park has a huge small dogs section and a huge large dogs section, plus places to sit, water fountains, a dog wash, and agility obstacles!

The event is totally free, and here's where the charity part comes in.

We are supporting the Paws for Peace Kennel, a first of its kind shelter for the pets of domestic violence victims. Harbor House of Central Florida is opening the shelter this fall. I wrote a story on the shelter last month.

Bring an item the kennel needs from the wish list below, and be entered into a raffle for prizes!
  • Leashes
  • Collars
  • Pet brushes
  • Pet beds
  • Dispensers and bag
  • Cat litter boxes and scoopers
  •  Pet bowls
  • Toys
  • Towels
  • Boxes of rubber gloves
  • Carriers and crates
  • Large bottles of antibacterial handsoap
So please meet us at Barber Park on Sunday, October 22 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lulu and I will be there to meet you!
