Wordless Wednesday: Designer dogs, and a message for humans

PS: If you didn't notice, I started a page for Doggy Day Out Orlando, October 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Barber Park in Orlando Florida. Please pass this around and help a great cause.

  1. EXACTLY! A few years ago shelters couldn't adopt out a designer dog, why?? Because they were called mutts. Sure there are people who think they designed them like mixing a poodle and a lab (labadoodle),or a beagle with a Boston Terrier (Boglen) but in my opinion it was 2 dogs who started the rage to get these designers started.
    Great Post!

    1. Exactly! Lulu is a beagle mix, and she's beautiful! What more do you really need? And you pay the breeders so much money some times!

  4. Mom has several dogs and cats, some are purebreds, some are shelter pets, but all are designed to find a special place in mom's heart! She loves us all the same no matter what design we are!

    1. Exactly! What a dog is is not as important as how it loves, and all dogs love the same.

Love Carma's comment too: "A few years ago shelters couldn't adopt out a designer dog, why?? Because they were called mutts."

  10. Great message, I agree completely!

My rat Amy who appears in my WW post today came from our local SPCA. Wish folks would check the shelters before getting any kind of pet!

    cheers,

    Mary

  11. Classic picture and message! Currently our dogs are Puerto Rican Giant Chihuahuas, they're fancy mutts. :) We have no idea what they are, the Mr. would rather donate the money to Save a Sato than waste it n a DNA test.

    1. I've thought about testing Lulu to be sure, but would it change anything? Nope. She's my puppy, and that's what matters.
