From left to right: Lulu, Gnarley and Shelby. |
While Lulu, Gnarley and the new dog played, her parent told her story. He was stationed in Afghanistan, and some children had the dog. They wanted a ball in trade, but he didn't have a ball, so he traded a pad of paper for her.
Now the dog lives in the United States. She was a very docile dog, and Lulu and Gnarley liked playing with her.
I hope we get to see her again.
It sounds as though that was her lucky day!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing story.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool story Shelby has! I'm so glad they all had a great time playing.
ReplyDeleteHey Lulu, Jet here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing a powerful story. Hope you get to play again!
Roo always nice to make new friends - even more so if they have a pawsome story to tell! *waggy tail*
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! Golden Thanks for sharing the story. Happy WW. Lots of Golden woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteOoo! Dog friends! Yay!
ReplyDeleteHey - I'll be in Orlando in late February for a trade show, hanging out with the Jones Chews folks. Any chance we can meet one day and do lunch?
We can meet all three days -- I'll be at the same trade show as press. ;)
DeleteThat is such an amazing story! Wow, would love to meet a dog like her. Dogs are treated usually much more differently over there than here, so I'm glad they found each other:)
ReplyDeleteShe seems really happy with her family too, and they seem like good responsible people. So it's a win for everyone!
DeleteWOW! traded for a pad of paper!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Pepper
Isn't that nuts? Worse yet, she's bothered by the distant fireworks from Universal that we can hear. Lulu can walk outside and not even bat an eye, but the dog's owner was asking me about the Thundershirt.
DeleteInteresting story and what a great trade! When I was a young child, my parents traded a tool box with tools from their pawn shop to a man for their Sheltie. She had papers and everything. Pretty awesome trade!
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely story! Thanks for sharing. Happy WW on Thursday!
ReplyDeleteWow, have fun with your new friend :)
ReplyDeleteBig wags,
Your pal Snoopy :)
What a special new friend! Thanks for stoping by our blog. Have a Fantastic Friday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky dog! Glad that Lulu and Gnarley found a new friend in Shelby!
ReplyDeleteAw, it's always cool to meet new furiends :)
ReplyDeleteSweet! I'll see you there! I just read the biography of Rin Tin Tin. More of a memoir, really. And the original Rinny was a WWI dog found as a puppy on a battlefield in France.
